For over a decade, I’ve helped shape impactful learning experiences across both public institutions and global enterprises. I’ve led learning needs analyses, built competency frameworks, designed onboarding and leadership programs, and helped teams turn learning into lasting performance.
Through it all, one challenge remains: too much training, not enough transfer.
That changed when I came across "What Makes Training Really Work" by Dr. Ina Weinbauer-Heidel. The book and the 12 Levers of Transfer Effectiveness® framework it introduced completely transformed the way I think about L&D.
It was a pivotal moment in my career.
For the first time, I had a structured, science-informed way to design for transfer, not just delivery. The 12 Levers gave me clarity, renewed purpose, and a practical path forward: to focus on what truly moves the needle in training.
That’s what inspired me to become a Certified Transfer Designer and eventually build the 12Levers Impact Framework™, my own practical system for helping teams apply these principles in real-world programs.
The 12Levers Impact Framework™ is a structured, science-informed approach to improving training ROI by:
Identifying the factors that determine whether transfer succeeds or fails
Developing practical, evidence-based strategies built on the 12 Levers of Transfer Effectiveness®
Designing tools and interventions that fit real-world programs, learners, and performance needs
With this lens, I help L&D teams go beyond engagement and evaluation — to design learning that actually gets used.
Whether you're a learning leader, instructional designer, or capability builder, I hope 12Levers.com gives you practical, proven tools to make training that sticks.Â
Currently a Pro Bono Initiative
12Levers.com is currently run as a pro bono, purpose-driven practice. This means I support teams in the public and non-profit sectors at no cost, as part of my commitment to advancing learning transfer in meaningful, real-world settings.
Due to limited capacity, I prioritize projects that align with this mission:
Helping mission-driven organizations make training stick and deliver impact.
As this practice evolves, I hope to develop future offerings that remain practical, values-aligned, and results-focused.
If you're part of a public or non-profit team and you're exploring ways to boost your training effectiveness, I’d love to hear from you.
